Friday evening, May 5th, the New Durham Democratic Committee had a get together at Rich Leonard's beautiful Miller Farm. We celebrated Cinco De Mayo with great Mexican food and drink and about 40 local Democrats. We were very fortunate to have Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter join us. Carol gave us all inspiration and hope for the future !
Steve Marchand, who has thrown his hat into the ring for governor in 2018, also spoke about why he is running for governor.
We invited folks there to join our committee and are very happy that many of those attending did just that. It was a cold, rainy night outside, but inside it was warm and cozy and everyone engaged in discussing the future of our democracy.
