We had brilliant weather for the evening of the dinner. The honorees and most guests arrived pretty early this year, but we were ready early, so we were really able to keep everyone happy throughout the evening. Along with our robust selection of delicious, homemade food, we had a special treat in store for all our guests, live music from the newly reestablished Farmington Community Band. This was the band's first public performance and they didn't disappoint. I think
our team efforts left everyone attending feeling great. We loved that Carol Shea Porter took time out of her busy schedule for us to present the award to each honoree and add wonderful sentiments about each honoree and the importance of being involved in your community. It was an absolute joy honoring Manny Krasner, the Three Ponds Protective Association, and the New Durham Recreation Commission. Each exemplifies how a sense of community and teamwork can indeed change the world, even if it is just a small section of it. If you didn't get a chance to attend, watch the video below to hear each honoree speak. I really appreciate all the
planning, prep, and hard work everyone put into the event. I hope we'll see even more of you next year! Kyle Leach-Chair Tri Town Democratic Committee.

SCDC Gubernatorial Forum Wednesday, June 22, 9 PM, The McConnell Center
The Dover Democratic Committee and The Strafford
County Democratic Committee are planning a Gubernatorial Forum for the
three Democratic candidates for Governor on June 22, at the McConnell
Center (61 Locust St.) in Dover,
We are hoping to have many voters from around the county and beyond attending the forum and it will be a great opportunity to identify, and hopefully engage, new members for our town committees.
We also are looking for questions from people around the County for the candidates to answer. You can submit questions directly Questions4GovernorsForum@c omcast.net.
Please have questions submitted no later than June 10th. Submissions should include: The question, name of questioner, email address, phone number (in case clarification of question is needed), community of the questioner (i.e. city or town). .
We cannot guarantee the question will be asked as written because we expect there will be some duplication on certain themes. We plan, however, to give credit to the question writer if possible.
The NH gubernatorial race has been identified as one of the most competitive in the country, but many voters know little about the Democratic candidates and what the differences among them might be. Please join with us to make this a successful educational event. We look forward to working with you.

2016 NH Progressive Summit Saturday June 25th Southern New Hampshire University In Manchester
Saturday, May 21, 2016
From GSP:
We are excited to announce that the 2016 NH Progressive Summit will be Saturday, June 25th at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester!
Co-hosted by Granite State Progress and the NH Citizens Alliance for Action, along with many other sponsoring organizations, this annual event provides space for new and existing activists to come together and hear from inspiring speakers, as we collectively learn, train, and mobilize for the many issue and electoral challenges and opportunities we face together.
Last year’s NH Progressive Summit theme was “Investing in Our Future.” This year’s theme is “Standing on the Brink.” Our state and country are at a critical juncture, and the decisions we make in the near future will have lasting implications for the legacy we leave behind us. Whether it’s advancing pro-active legislation at the state and federal level, guarding against conservative rhetoric, or challenging corporate political corruption of our legislative and electoral process – the 2016 NH Progressive Summit will confront the diverging paths forward and what we can do.
The 2016 NH Progressive Summit will be a jam-packed, action-oriented, day-long event, with workshops and fabulous speakers – you won’t want to miss it! Registration is $25 per participant for a full day or $15 for a half day in advance or $35 at the door, with a limited number of scholarships available.
In progress,
Zandra, Tim C., Tim, and the rest of the Granite State Progress team

FYI-Google maps, Mapquest, and GPS often send people to the wrong location, as they all use old Farmington Main Street addresses before Farmington had enhanced 911.
